Marie-Stella-Maris – a new refill concept: longlasting, luxurious and unique
Marie-Stella-Maris has a mission: access to clean water and hygiene for everyone worldwide. They contribute to this mission with their products. From every sold product they donate a fixed percentage to sustainable clean water projects. To reduce their impact on the environment they focus on sustainable refill packaging. You can refill your Marie-Stella-Maris product at every store or buy the refill online. All of their products are made of 96% natural ingredients and are 100% vegan.
Marie-Stella-Maris was looking for a sustainable refill system for their new shower foam. They wanted to have a luxury but sustainable bottle that people will re-use many times. Our Studio 111 designed some different ideas, which we presented to them. This resulted in a beautiful new concept.
We found a bottle which was perfect for this project and introduced this to Marie-Stella-Maris. Their requirement was a luxury and plastic free bottle, which was perfect for a long lasting refill. So we set up several designs for the bottle and the way to show the refill fragrance. They chose for the glass bottle and rubber sleeve with their debossed Marie-Stella-Maris logo. The material of the foamerpump is aluminum. The combination of the clear glass bottle, white rubber sleeve and black aluminum foamer gives the product the luxury appearance they wanted. The refill is a concentrated 50 ml ampoule, just add water and your refill is ready. For this refill we also did the artwork for Marie-Stella-Maris. Each refill comes a sticker with the colour of the fragrance, you can stick this on your bottle to remind you of the fragrance during usage.
This new refill concept from Marie-Stella-Maris is launched last week and is already a great success. You can find the products on their website, so you can check them out yourself.
